Art Project: The Painted
Forest of Kollnburg
The "Bemalter Wald" (Painted Forest) in Kollnburg is an enchanting art installation where nature and creativity come together in harmony. This unique project transforms a wooded area into a vibrant canvas, with trees painted by artists to tell stories, evoke emotions, and invite reflection on the relationship between humans and the natural world.
The artworks, created with environmentally friendly materials, highlight themes such as sustainability, cultural heritage, and the beauty of impermanence. Visitors can wander through this open-air gallery, immersing themselves in a journey where art and the forest intertwine to create a powerful, thought-provoking experience.
The Painted Forest of Kollnburg is not just an art installation—it’s a celebration of life, a call for environmental awareness, and a space for community engagement and inspiration.
ArtProject “Displaced”
Film:
The speaker came to Holland
at the age of 17 to work. He describes performing various labor-intensive jobs such as cutting flowers, packing tools, and working in a refinery in Germany. Over the years, he has traveled between countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and even Italy, in pursuit of stable work.
The narrative conveys the hardships of migrant life:The speaker notes how many people leave their home countries hoping for a better life but face exploitation, low pay, or even unpaid labor. He describes a transient lifestyle, living out of bags and constantly moving between countries for work, which is exhausting and isolating. There's a tone of disillusionment with the dream of finding prosperity abroad, highlighting how difficult it is to truly "make it." Despite these challenges, the speaker reflects on how their circumstances have improved. He now has a stable job, a flat, and a better quality of life, including pleasant surroundings and friendly people. He emphasise that the struggles he faced abroad were far from the rosy picture many imagine when leaving their homeland.

A Lasting Impact
The Youth Green Conference 2022 was more than just a conference; it was a catalyst for change. Participants left the event with new insights, valuable connections, and a renewed motivation to contribute to a more sustainable world. Thanks to the collaboration between young people and experts, not only was knowledge shared, but sustainable initiatives were also born, contributing
to a greener future for Europe.
This week proved that youth have a powerful voice in the fight against
climate change. With energy, creativity, and collaboration, we can make a positive impact together – and the Youth Green Conference was a shining example of that.
DISAPPEARING LANDSCAPE. Art-Residence 2025
A Dream in Green | 270×180 cm collage/decollage on canvas.
